Background/History:
Momo, born Momose Sunohara, was a star soccer player before he was a top idol: a typical sports kid with typical aspirations that matched up with the things he was good at. His life was normal, speedbump-free, and going well—
—until it wasn't. A sudden and unforeseen injury forced Momo to retire from the one thing that'd been a surety in his future, uprooting him from his fasttrack to a potentially successful career in sports. This could have been the end of Momose Sunohara, but life dealt him a lucky card in the form of his older sister, who was really into idols. To keep Momo from caving in on himself, she took him to a concert in a dingy underground venue as a way for him to unwind. The band playing there was called Re:vale.
That night, Re:vale saved Momo's life.
Uplifted by Re:vale's music, Momo chased them from concert to concert. The members of the duo, Banri Ogami and Yukito Orikasa, came to recognize Momo in part because he was one of the few male fans that Re:vale had, but mostly because of a fanletter that Momo'd sent them on the first night that he saw them. Again, this was all well and good, and Momo found new meaning in his life thanks to Re:vale—
—until Re:vale effectively 'disbanded' after an accident mid-concert. Banri disappeared after being injured by a stage prop, and Yuki was left behind with nothing but his loneliness and resignation. It was only thanks to Momo's persistent begging that Yuki didn't quit Re:vale entirely; after a month of Momo knocking at Yuki's door and pleading to be Banri's replacement, Yuki finally gave in.
Things were simultaneously difficult but fulfilling for Momo and Yuki after that. They started as upstarts at a tiny agency, eating dandelions and fishing for food in local rivers to stay afloat. Once they picked up steam, though, they really rode the wave: Re:vale won the title of top idol at some point, and were successfully making their way to their 5 year anniversary.
Despite this, there were still complications. Momo became a part of Re:vale on the condition that he would be Yuki's partner for 5 years— the same amount of time that Banri had spent with Yuki originally. With the time limit fast approaching before their 5th Anniversary concert, Momo lost his voice temporarily due to stress; this was resolved through Yuki's reassurance that he didn't intend to honor that time limit. Banri also returned from his self-imposed exile to tell Momo that Banri loves Re:vale as it is now, a unit between Yuki and Momo.
With that issue settled, Momo spent the majority of the next arc making sure that ill-intentioned media executives didn't succeed in smear campaigns against Re:vale and his two junior units, IDOLiSH7 and TRIGGER.
Strengths:
Momo's greatest asset is his adaptability. Because of his personal mantra— to keep smiling against all odds— he approaches all situations, impossible or possible, with an optimism that allows him to engage, adapt, and push through. In canon proper, he finds himself unable to sing because of psychosomatic reasons: still, he finds ways to keep his televised performances upbeat and entertaining without halting the entire process. When his juniors or fellow staff members flub, he's always there with a well-timed joke or a followup. His flexibility is in direct correlation with his perceptiveness (another weapon in his arsenal), which stems from his all-encompassing desire to spread happiness. Despite his cheerful, upbeat personality, Momo is, at his core, highly insightful— he reads the room, looks for cues, and responds in a way that he decides will generate the greatest amount of happiness for the greatest amount of people.
Speaking of happiness, this segues into his second strength: tenacity. Because Momo is the type of person who can't be happy unless the people around him are happy, his commitment to this endgoal is absolute. This is most obviously demonstrated in his months-long effort to keep Yuki from quitting Re:vale, in his shameless chase to keep Yuki from folding in on himself in the same way that Momo might have after his own injury. In this regard, Momo is fearless; the idea of being laughed at or scorned for his persistence scares him far less than the possibility that he could make someone miserable because of his silence. Giving up isn't an option for him, because giving up on something entails giving up on someone, and that doesn't agree with him.
That leads nicely into Momo's last positive attribute, which is loyalty. Momo is flexible, perceptive, tenacious, and lionhearted for the people he loves and grows attached to— he'd do anything for them, up to and including agreeing to being roughed up by a bunch of thugs in his apartment to keep the other half of his duo safe. It's his love of people in general that allows Momo to give so much of himself to them; because the people he surrounds himself with consistently give him the gift of their company, he takes it upon himself to return that consideration in full.
Weaknesses:
Momo's most obvious weakness is his inability to take the same sense of perspective he has for other people and apply it to himself... which sounds like a copout "good trait disguised as a bad one", but the reality is that Momo's inability to include himself in his happiness equation winds up being highly detrimental to the people that care about him. In fact, this is the only real point of contention between Yuki and Momo in their otherwise well-functioning relationship: the only times Yuki and Momo really go at each other are the times when Momo refuses to acknowledge that Yuki genuinely considers Momo to be an important and integral part of his life. Momo's bird's-eye view is severely lacking when it comes to himself; he's eager to take risks at his own expense, which is frustrating for everyone else involved, not to mention shortsighted.
In the same vein, Momo's other shortcoming is his tendency to be a bottle about his own issues. He nursed self-confidence issues for the five initial years he partnered with Yuki— at his core, he believed that he had to work ten times harder than anyone else to be someone 'worthy' of standing by Yuki's side. A part of him subscribes to the notion of putting himself down in order to lift others up, which, again, spurs him to do some pretty reckless things that literally no one asked for.
Finally, Momo's a pretty nosy guy: he likes to be in people's business and likes to be involved, which is good up and until he spreads himself too thin, or alternatively, when people start to interpret his involvement as lip service. Because Momo is the type of person to sit down and talk to everyone, he can come across as flighty or insincere; no matter what his intentions are, the term "people-pleaser" isn't exactly always a positive statement of endorsement.
Powers/Abilities: None! Just a squishy human who can sing and dance above average.
Other Noteworthy Traits: He's a top idol! He might not be the Best Singer Ever™, but he can warm up a crowd and keep them dancing. He's also an excellent MC and networker thanks to his great interpersonal skills; this incidentally makes him really good at collecting information about people, both vital and mundane.
Weapons & Other Special Inventory: The only weapon he needs is his killer smile... that said, nothing but the clothes on his back.
Color: Red, specifically leaning towards pink! Something close to Hex Code #FF1493. This is his canon color association (he wears a lot of pink, 'Momo' is phonetically the same as the word for 'peach' in Japanese despite the different written character, etc.), and it suits him: he's vibrant, loud, and would definitely be the color of a bleeding heart.
Sample: TDM thread.
[ OPTIONAL ] World Aspect: Momo comes from what is ostensibly our earth (with some geographical liberties/fake European countries thrown into the mix), so unless you want to incorporate idol wars, I don't think there'd be any canon elements that could be used in the game!
